WHat%26#39;s the best restaurant for a view of the Bellagio fountain?
I have in mind the Prime or Picasso at the Bellagio (do they both have lakeside seating) and the Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris.
Which of these offer the best view? And which of these have the best food?
Best restaurant for Bellagio fountain
Prime and Picasso offer by far the best views of the fountains, both are also excellent restaurants. Mon Ami Gabi is across a wide street (several lanes of traffic). The food is decent there but not exceptional and if you eat out on their patio, you have foot traffic plus the lanes and fumes from cars plus trees in front of Bellagio between you and the fountains. In other words, there are a few obstructions.
Both Prime and Picasso really are wonderful restaurants, which you pick depends on the type of food you want. You can view their menus on the Bellagio website. Both also have patios that open directly onto the lake. You can%26#39;t eat your meal out on the patio, but you can have drinks/appetizers/coffee/dessert there, at least you can on the Prime patio. If you make a dinner reservation, you can request a table by the windows so you can view the lake/fountains. When we ate at Prime earlier in September we had a table by the windows, the view was beautiful. We had coffee and dessert outside and sat there for about an hour so saw the full effect of the fountains with the music, it was wonderful. We found the service at Prime to be impeccable, the food delicious and the restaurant itself was absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend Prime! Picasso is just as good and the experience there would be the same as that at Prime.

MAG is pushed to the extreme on these boards, why I dont know, it%26#39;s a tourist trap with food and service fair at best.
MAG is Not in the same league as Prime or Picasso.
Prime or Picasso should be your choice, both of these restaurants are very different in cuisine, I prefer Prime.
Thank you! Prime it is!
You will absolutely love Prime!!! The pictures on the Bellagio website don%26#39;t do it justice! Book as far in advance as you can. You can%26#39;t book a table by the window or dessert/coffee on the patio. When you make the reservation, tell them you want to request those things. They won%26#39;t promise you anything until you get there. We got both and loved it!!
