Hi,
I was thinking of going at the low season to Las Vegas. From December 16th tto the 23rd.
Has anyone gone around this time? Do you recommend it? Is it a ghost town? Are there things and shows to see,
I would appreciate any feedback.
Thanks,
Maria

We were there mid-Dec last year and loved it. Not to worry, Vegas is never a ghost town. It was busy, but not packed, you didn%26#39;t have to wait in lines for anything and it was much easier to get reservations for meals etc without having to do so weeks in advance. Go and enjoy!

Would I recommend it? NO, only if your looking to save a few dollars and dont mind the cold weather. Some shows might be closed others are open, it is a slower time in LV and in my opinion the savings are not worth giving up the nice weather. .
Can definatly recommend it as previously visited in December. Go on just book it. Will see you there.
I go every year right after Christmas and I love it. The last two weeks of December are the slowest in Vegas but that isn%26#39;t all bad. I would check the shows you%26#39;d like to see ahead of time but most aren%26#39;t dark then. The weather isn%26#39;t bad at all (especially if you%26#39;re coming from Montreal) but you%26#39;ll want pants and a jacket outside at night. Hotel rooms are pretty much the cheapest they get during the year, casinos aren%26#39;t as crowded...
I was there last in Dec 13-14th of 2004. Have a great time. Casinos had tons of people, but not overly crowded except when the MGM concert let out.
Weather that year was very nice. Just loved that vacation!
Plug in your dates and see what shows are available:

If there are specials restaurants you want to visit, email or call them to make sure they will be available.
Ghost town? Las Vegas? Never!! It might be somewhat less crowded but not deserted. Some of the shows might be dark but that is about it. Everything else will be open. The weather can be hit or miss. The average high temp-mid 50s but the highs can range from the 30s into the 70s. It is much colder at night. I have been to Vegas in December and some years I only needed a sweater during the day.while other years I needed a sweater plus a lined jacket. Yes, I would recommend going at that time unless swimming is important to you.
We are going in Dec.( 22 t0 29 ) found that most show are a go. Just booked Wayne Brady at the Venetian and Carrot Top at the Luxor.Your from Canada it will feel like spring to us Canadians if the sun is shining.
This year will be the fourth year I will be there on that weekend. There are fewer shows then, but there are still quite a few to choose from. There are still plenty of things to do and it is definately NOT a ghost town.
