We are super excited. Started planning this trip in March. We have both worked our butts off at work and this trip is SOOOOOO deserving. I%26#39;ve gotten so much great advice from everyone, btw.
So, as some of you know, we are staying at the Bellagio 4 nights, arriving September 23 (our 1st anniversary). We also have ';O'; booked for the 26th (my birthday). That are only solid plans...
Questions I have:
1, Taxi from the airport to B. What should I say to the driver? The Bellagio please, no tunnel or via Swenson or Paradise to Flamingo?? (I don%26#39;t know these roads and don%26#39;t want to sound too much like a idiot..haha)
2, 11:30 am check in on Sunday, chances of getting a lakeview room are.....good? terrible?
3, First night dinner is our anniversary. It doesn%26#39;t have to be super romantic and we would prefer it be on the strip. How does that Stone Crab place at Caesar%26#39;s sound? The menu looks fantastic. (Don%26#39;t want to go there if it%26#39;s incredibly loud though). Is it easy enough to book reservation when we arrive at our hotel room? It would be the same day.
4, B-day dinner would be before ';O'; (7:30). Would Prime at 5pm be enough time to enjoy before the show? I thought a restaurant at the Bellagio would be best and gabby had me drooling over Prime. Any other suggestions would be great though because Prime is pricey so weighing that idea. Mixed reviews of Olives having me humming and hawing too.
5. Is Le Provencal at the Paris good? hardly any recent reviews on it? The Bouillebaisse sounds awesome.
6, Cheesecake factory or Grand Lux....which would you choose? (I know they are owned by the same people)
7, Fashion show mall any good? Don%26#39;t want to waste time at the outlets (unless you can convince me otherwise). I%26#39;m Canadian so a lot of your store%26#39;s we don%26#39;t get here AND with the exchange rate, your prices are very appealing. Now if only a RAV4 would fit in my suitcase :P
Any other advice? I think we are set. Just imagining the heat, the pool and a Mojito
Last minute questions...be there Sunday
So glad to see that you are excited about going to Vegas. Grab a cab and say no tunnel please. As far as the room goes it depends on how busy it is. No guarantees no matter what time. As for the rest of the trip don%26#39;t plan too much, you will be amazed at how much there is to do. Go with the flow and have fun.
Last minute questions...be there Sunday
I can%26#39;t help you too much on the food but I absolutely love the Fashion Show mall. I live in a small town where our biggest store is Dillard%26#39;s. I usually set aside an afternoon for a solo trip to the mall. I missed it this year :-(
Have fun!! Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary!
Thanks guys. I decided not to plan much because of that. I do have a huge list of restaurants so we don%26#39;t get into a rut and walk around aimlessly deciding where to eat. We found that part a bit over whelming last time.
On to another topic, are the amenities in the Bellagio room%26#39;s nice? Unsure whether to pack shampoo/conditioner. Also, what about the hair dryers. Some places have such crappy ones. I%26#39;m hoping I don%26#39;t have to bring mine but will if necessary
Hi gster...I found this great site listing their list of best buffets in Vegas. There is lots of other info about Vegas there too.
Have fun and don%26#39;t forget to write a TR!

Oh, you are soooo excited. I love it. Share the love. I just want to remind you to take lots of photos and enjoy every minute.

Hi, I went to the Cheesecake Factory and although it was delicious, both my friend and I got sick after eating there and we ordered different things.
we really enjoy Le Provencal, for romantic I highly recommend Hugo%26#39;s Cellar in Four Queens downtown. Roantic and food is delicious we went for our anniversary also. Hve fun and enjoy!!
3) I know it gets mixed reviews on here, but we%26#39;ve eaten at Mon Ami Gabi twice, and loved it both times. We%26#39;ve sat inside and out, and found both enjoyable.
6) Grand Lux!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Blazyn. I was all for MAG a few months ago but, yeah, the mixed reviews had me questioning it. We%26#39;ll have to walk by it and see if it%26#39;s worth going to while we%26#39;re there.
1, Taxi from the airport The Bellagio please, via Swenson to Flamingo.
2, sorry...no idea
3, I%26#39;ve heard good and bad about Joes Crab. Maybe Casa di Amore...with the limo ride and all.
4, I like the Prime idea, but I would go a little earlier. I personally hate to be rushed thru dinner because of show plans. If I finish early, then I can stop for an after dinner drink.
5. Is Le Provencal at the Paris is good, but I%26#39;m also a big fan of Le Artiste, the steakhouse at the Paris.
6, Cheesecake factory
7, The fashion show mall is o.k., depending what your looking for, and what you want to spend. It is HUGE. I like the outlets, because if you know what your looking for, and looking at, you can sometimes find some great deals. There are some bad deals too, you just have to look.
As far as ';heat'; in Las Vegas, it%26#39;s about 82 degrees today, and is only hitting about 86 tomorrow....it won%26#39;t even touch 90 before the weekend.
Hope to see you at the M%26amp;G at MGM on Tues!!
