Unusual question?

OK, so I have a friend from High School that I haven%26#39;t seen in a few years that works in the kitchen at Hard Rock. I would like to try to contact him, but that is all the information that I have. So...

...Do I call the main number and ask for him by name? I am sure that with a place that size, whomever I speak with may not even know who he is. Any suggestions on how to reach him before I get there?

Unusual question?

How much time before your visit? You might try sending him a letter in care of the casino%26#39;s human resources dept.

Unusual question?

I can%26#39;t imagine the kitchen management would be happy if someone tried to interrupt the work flow with a personal phone call- that may well cause problems for your friend. Other than sending him a wriiten note with your hotel c/o the HR Dept , as was suggested, I think it would be a good idea to leave his workplace out of your efforts to contact him.

We leave here on the 6th of October, but are Headed To San Francisco first for 2 days. So We won%26#39;t actually get to Vegas until the evening of the 7th. What would I say? ';Please give such and such my cell phone number and ask him to call me?';

Luloo,

I agree with you. Unfortunately, that is the only contact info that I have right now. He (and his wife) both work there.

No, if you send it addressed to HIM in care of HR dept., I would think they would deliver it to him and not open it themselves.

Like Camille said address it to him in care of the hotel. Just keep the note brief, give the dates you will be in Vegas and your cell number. They can call you anytime, if no cell then state the Hotel you will stay at and then that is all you can do.

Lulu is also correct as to keeping the Hotel out of it except for the note. I would not call or show up there, could cause a problem unless he is in management.

Maybe call the Hard Rock and ask them what would be best.

I complimented a buffet worker at the MGM buffet my last trip, to a hotel person. She told me she%26#39;d send a message to the buffet manager passing along my comments.

Maybe they can do this with you?

Just a thought....

Well, it sounds like the best advise is the HR suggestion. I will give that a shot, and hope that it gets to him.

This could be a total long shot, but if you know his name and his wife%26#39;s name...have you tried searching an online phone directory (or even google) to see if you can find his local telephone number at his house?

I did try that. There was nothing under his Last name.
