NOVICES; please help

Regarding buffet prices, are you asking about breakfast, lunch or dinner and which end of the quality spectrum are you thinking about?

There is no dress code in Las Vegas, go with whatever makes you comfortable, keep in mind the casinos can be a little chilly. There is also no charge for entry into any of the casinos. The easiest form of gambling is of course, the slot machines, these also have the biggest house advantage. Pretty much every casino offers free lessons on table games. Drinks are free as long as you are gambling. Hope this helps you out! enjoy the experience.

Buffets can be cheap and very expensive, remember, you get what you pay for. For my money, the best buffet is the Paris breakfast buffet, but everyone has their fav%26#39;s

You will get lots of advice from better qualified people, but let me say. You will love Vegas and have a great time. The bus stops near your hotel so if money gets tight get a 24 hour pass for $5 and ride the deuce. It goes up and down the strip and will give you an opportunity to see where you might want to stop and get photos for your memories.

Be sure to get off at the Caesars Palace / Venetian stop as these are really magnificent buildings. The bus goes very slow during the day and will give you an opportunity to decide to get off. I found most people very helpful taking a photo of you or just helpful chat.

You are going to have fun.

For buffets prices.... http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/buffets.cfm

Gambling and drinking. If you are gambling you can order a cocktail for the price of a tip.

Benezett just returned from a very successful budget trip. Maybe private message her and ask about budget gambling so that you can get the free drinks and extend your gambling dollars.

(Hope that%26#39;s okay Benezett! Just guessing your so nice you%26#39;d say yes! lol)

Blagger answered the first 3 questions....

I%26#39;ll take door #3.

You want to play slots. I know a lot of people who like to play at CC , Riviera and Slot of Fun near CC and win. Practice in your hotel when you want a drink.

Find a penny slot that has 9 lines. This gives you 9 chances to win each time you pull the handle. It is very important to play 9 lines with only 1 credit per line so you are only risking 9 cents a spin. 11 spins for $1. I would suggest that you use $1 bills ( I found most slots in Vegas take ones.) then if you hit the wrong button you can never bet more than $1.

You can move to bigger slots once you get the hang of it. Feel free to message me. Just click on my name.

Order a drink off the first server that you see in case they don%26#39;t come around for awhile. Relax ,play slow, and have fun.

-No dress code, where whatever you want but some restaurants have dress codes - very few but still I would check before going to those.

-No entry for the hotels, some hotels have small/quick free shows - bellagio fountains, mirage volcano, forum shops atlantis statues, etc...you do have to pay for the NY NY rollercoaster, some of the small museums, etc...

-Easiest - slots, but roulette is very easy too, dealers will show you how or just watch %26amp; its easy to pick up.

-http://www.vegasbuffets.com/ - I would go to the bigger hotels, breakfast is usually good, other meals we try to avoid buffets - we like Paris %26amp; TI%26#39;s breakfast buffets, bellagio wasn%26#39;t worth the price.

-we really only drink during gambling %26amp; dinner, so I can%26#39;t comment on bars but do a search on here...

Never a dress code, you will be surprised at the differences you see, from dressy to awful....

Charge for entry....well, gambling, is sort of your charge, isn%26#39;t it?

Easiest to pick up, they all say slots, because there is absolutely no skill involved, just toss your money away. Sometimes you get some back : )

I%26#39;d say, the easiest game to learn is video poker....or video black jack....you have a bit of control over the hand you are dealt. If you do play video poker, watch for machines that pay back with jacks or better. Some only pay with three of a kind or better. If you play video black jack and like it, then you can try playing it at one of the gaming tables with other people. Good luck !

Buffets..I%26#39;m not a big fan in general, but I have heard excellent things about the buffet at Planet Hollywood (formerly Aladdin)...so if you%26#39;re going to try one, start there : ) Buffets in general, are cheapest at lunch, more expensive for breakfast or dinner. Can run from 7.99 per person, to 17.99 per person *averages*

Drinks are offered as a courtesy while you are gambling, but tip the cocktail waitress $1.00 a drink, or you won%26#39;t see her again. Tip her $3.00 a drink, and she%26#39;ll check on you quite frequently.

Many Thanks to you all for taking the time to reply.

I am pleased to know that dress is casual and we dont need to waste luggage allowance on formal dress.

The bus pass sounds like an excellent way to get around.

We were really thinking of a Dinner buffet , because we are only in Las Vegas for two nights and will be in the casinos anyway for a good portion of both evenings. Although we were hoping for something of quality, even if slightly more expensive.
