I am travelling to Las Vegas with a group of between 15-20 friends for a joint 30th birthday celebration.
We are looking to travel in August for a stay of 5 nights. Flying from London.
The age range is 25-55 and we are looking to stay in a good hotel, maybe 4 or 5 star..
I am looking for the best time to book flights, to get the cheapest available.
Also is it best to contact the hotels directly to get the best room rates or better to go through an agent?
We are looking to fly in on a Thursday and then out on the Tuesday and want to know if it would be better financially if we avoided the weekends??
Any other information would also be well received that you think may be relevant.

I can%26#39;t really comment on the flights as I have never flown from London.
You will find that virtually everyone on this board will suggest that you book with the hotel room directly and sooner rather than later since if the rates drop, you can call the hotel directly and have the rates adjusted. You may not be able to book August yet but have a look. I am also fairly confident that you cannot have your room stay comped if you book with Expedia etc. but someone may correct me on that.
Rates on the weekend are always more money than during the week so Sun to Thur would be your best benefit financially and also to avoid crowds.

WEEKENDS are expensive
Tuesday----Saturday is good.
Deal direct with a hotel. make a reservation, watch for a lower price, re-deal.
Airline can be tricky. DONT get locked in with a travel agency.
Stay loose with reservations so you can change dates, if required.
