Can anyone recommend the best Italian and Mexican restaurants in Vegas? We are looking for quite casual places (not too stuffy.)
Thanks.

Best Italian and Mexican Restaurants
';Best'; is an incredibly subjective word and people%26#39;s opinions are going to differ hugely. You%26#39;re really going to get nothing more than a list of people%26#39;s own favorite places.
For what it%26#39;s worth my favorite Italian places are Pasta Shop and Casa di Amore. The only really good Mexican I%26#39;ve had in Vegas was at Lindo Michoacan, following recommendations on this forum. All of these are off-Strip and are extremely casual as well as being a lot better value than most places you%26#39;ll find in Strip hotels.
Thanks for the info Blagger.
I understand that the term ';best'; is subjective. Afterall, ';one man%26#39;s meat is another man%26#39;s poison'; etc. Which on-strip restaurants do you recommend? They don%26#39;t have to be Italian or Mexican.
A really good Italian place is Maggianos Little Italy in the Fashion Show Mall, very reasonable prices and excellent food. Always make a stop there while in Vegas.
My new favorite italian restaurant is Penazzi%26#39;s at Harrah%26#39;s. The food is excellent.
We%26#39;ve eaten at Onda at the Mirage. Pricy but good. We are staying at the Bellagio in Nov. andare looking for a above average Italian. Not sure if Circo is worth the $. Anyone help us on that line? We have eaten at Maggiano%26#39;s many times it%26#39;s ok.
Fiamma at MGM Grand was pretty good, cool environment, but not cheap. About $250 w/tip for four of us, with two not eating expensively and one not drinking.
I like the Italian Food at Penazzi at Harrah%26#39;s very good. Mexican Food place, sorry can%26#39;t help you there. I haven%26#39;t found a place yet., but I am from Texas and the Mexican Food don%26#39;t compare at all. I have eaten at Taco Bell for a quick fix. It is more American-Mexican Food.
Try the Market Cafe in the Monte Carlo Hotel. It doesn%26#39;t need a disclaimer like ';pricey, but good';. It%26#39;s just really good.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
Please keep them coming.
