Damn the timing on this (a Wynn invite)

I received an invite from the Wynn for 2 free complimentary nights. I told H and he was even excited, telling me to check the dates, as we would try and get some last minute travel agent fares on Allegiant if the dates were something we could do.

Turns out, the dates are for a time when H is scheduled for Mohs surgery for skin cancer. BAH!

The good news is that I get these invitations periodically, so I%26#39;m hoping for another invite for mid October or mid November (I would be thankful at Thanksgiving in Vegas, hee! )

Can I ask, how often you get free room offers from Wynn, and how much you gamle in there to get those offers (or how many points)?

I get the offers occasionally. More often, I stay there at casino rate and end up getting a night or two comped before I leave.

I gamble between $500-$1000 a day.

MusicMan - The offers come to me because I%26#39;m a part time travel agent. I often get offers from various hotels, resorts and casinos to stay at their properties to check them out, I just need to provide my own transportation there.

If I had to depend on my gambling for a free room, I%26#39;d probably never get one, as I am a very low roller. ;-)

The reason I asked is, that we joined the Red club (I think thats what its called) about 6 months ago, and my wife and I together, lost 6 or 7 hundred dollars in one night.

Since we were staying somewhere else, we did not play at Wynn again, but we never get any mail from them!!!!! and no emails also.

Is that normal, or I should check with them?

iowa, H%26#39;s health and wellbeing is far more important than any Vegas trip ever could be. That%26#39;s the way to think about this one.

As you said, you%26#39;ll get more invites in the future. Hope the surgery goes ok.

I have been to the Wynn one time with DW, to see Le Reve (comped thru work) and to play the 25.00 in free play they gave me. I put a 10.00 in, and played the 25 -1.00 at a time, and cashed out with 30.00.

They sent me an offer for 1 night @ 119.00 and 2 free Le Reve tickets...(worth about 110 apiece)

Not needing to ';stay'; in Vegas, and having just seen the show, I didn%26#39;t bother responding, but if the deal would have been for Spamalot, I would%26#39;ve grabbed it in a heartbeat.

Seems a bit strange....we joined Red Club a while back..and the first 2 visits (not staying) probably only dropped about $100 total in there (maybe even less for my sister)....and we all 3 (me, mom, and sister) got a deal we used in January for $119/nt and $75 Freeplay...and then in August we used another $135/nt and $75 Freeplay deal that we all got. I would think with the amount you spent you%26#39;d be seeing something....might be worth a call to casino marketing?

iowa, hope all goes well with DH%26#39;s Mohs. I had it in March, after 2 failed attempts at my dermo. They got it 1st shot so I was in at 8am and out by 10am. Any questions about it. feel free to pm me and I will answer based on my experience. It sounded worse than what it was.

MM- That does seem a bit odd. Have you made sure that they%26#39;ve got your mailing and email addresses correct? I would guess that they should have sent you some kind of invite, but then again, I%26#39;m not always sure what the casinos are thinking sometimes.

Blagger - My H%26#39;s health is the most important thing for sure. We were a little bummed at the fact that the dates didn%26#39;t work for us, but only because we had gone through something similar this past spring w/ the Wynn. Every time I got one of these invites, we already had a prior committment. With that said, I%26#39;m not so bummed about it because I know we%26#39;ll get another invite soon.

Shrek - Thanks for the offer, I just might take you up on it. I know that the Mohs isn%26#39;t supposed to be real intense, but still, its a surgery nonetheless and the big ';C'; word.
