Out of The Way Casinos...Any Worth A Visit?

We are renting a car when we arrive in Las Vegas this month...staying at Golden Nugget for 9 nights.

We are planning a visit to Red Rock Casino and Sam%26#39;s Town. Are there any other non-Strip / non-Downtown casinos that you would recommend that we visit?

Brenda :~)

If you%26#39;re music fans from any era then Hard Rock is worth a visit. If you%26#39;re over 25 then go during the daytime to avoid feeling VERY old!

Green Valley Ranch is worth a couple of hours of your time also.

Glad to hear you have a car. 9 nights downtown is a long time.

THere are a lot of good places to explore. I%26#39;d add Sunset Station and South Pointe to the tour. My husband has always cleaned up playing craps at Boulder Station too.

I thought Red Rock Hotel/Casino was very nice. Worth a drive and if so inclined you can take a drive around Red Rock Canyon too.

I like visiting Green Valley Ranch, the Orleans, and the Rio!!

SouthPoint casino is a must.

Sunset Station is O.K...

Sam%26#39;s Town

Green Valley Ranch

Red Rock

South Point

Ellis Island

I like Spikes list except Id skip Sams Town and Ellis Island.

Id add:

Lake Las Vegas

The Palms

I really liked South Point. Not sure it%26#39;s anything special for you to go out of your way to see, though. I know it was very clean, newer, not smokey when I was there, not crowded until locals received a coupon for 2-1 meals!

Breakfast buffet was very good for under $7..... liked clean empty theatres. liked that I could often play my fav WOF near the Cafe entrance!

If you%26#39;re going to Sam%26#39;s Town, stop at the Boulder Station just north of Sam%26#39;s on Boulder Hwy. Heck, you might as well stop in Arizona Charlie%26#39;s on Boulder. They have a great players club promotion going on. If you go to Southpoint, try the Silverton which is close to Southpoint off of the strip. I like the feel of the casino.

On my trip next week, I plan to visit the Station Casinos along Rancho Rd.

Ellis Isand, nothing beats the feel of going into a casino that has a mob feel about it.
