Restaurants @ Bellagio

Our final night of a two-week tour of SW USA we are staying in the Bellagio and thought it would be worth making a reservation for a meal there.

We are looking for something around the $125-200 range per person for 3 courses and a bottle of wine. Would like somewhere a bit special and romantic and we like all types of food from french to asian to mediterrenean.

What would you recommend for this budget in the Bellagio, at the moment I%26#39;m thinking the slightly more casual option of Olives which I gather would be nearer the $100 per person mark. I%26#39;m not entirely sure about going all in for something like the Cirque but more thinking options in between.

Any recommendations. Also are any of the Bellagio restaurants michellin star rated?

We ate at Picasso inside the bellagio a few years ago. It was around $150/person for a tasting menu.

I really enjoyed Olives, personally. I would eat there again in a heartbeat (in fact, we%26#39;re planning on it in November).

Prime is one of the great dining experiences in Vegas. Unmissable if you get the opportunity to eat there.

New York is the only city in North America where the Michelin restaurant rankings are as yet in use.

I loved Prime at Bellagio when we ate there two weeks ago. The picture on the B website doesn%26#39;t do it justice at all! It%26#39;s elegant, beautiful and romantic! The service and food are exceptional. See if you can request a table by the windows so you can see the lake and fountains while you dine. Also request a table out on the patio after dinner, you can have coffee and dessert there and again watch the fountains. We loved it! It will fit your budge, but will most likely be around $150 pp+ if you are ordering bottle(s) of wine. It is definitely worth the expense.

If I didn%26#39;t do Prime, then I%26#39;d go to Picasso. Olives is very good, but it%26#39;s more casual and not quite as romantic. If you had more than one night, I%26#39;d definitely recommend it, but from what you said I think you want something more than that for your night there.

cheers for the info. just out of interest if i weren%26#39;t to book would there be much of a chance of getting a table on a sunday night at Prime or Picasso espcially considering we are staying in a Bellagio Suite?

edit: damn i hate the ';new topic'; button being next to the ';reply'; button....always catches me out. Grrrrrr.

Picasso and (especially) Prime are both very popular and you should definitely make a reservation whatever the night of the week. You can always cancel if your plans change.

Contact the concierge and have them make the reservation for you.

I do know that it%26#39;s easier for guests of the hotel to get reservations than for non guests. However, blagger is right, both restaurants do get booked up in advance so if you want to eat in Picasso or Prime, make a reservation.

Hope you don%26#39;t mind me jumping on your post. Blagger and co - is it just Cirque that requires men to wear jackets?
