We are booked for March,15th for 4 nights unfortunately there seems to be some big conference cause all hotels are expensive for the first 2 nights. I am going to take the advice of the people on this forum and book a hotel now and then watch out for any drops in prices.
We are budgeting on around $200 per night and the only hotels in that price range are Bally, Luxor, Palms and Rio. Any suggestions on which one of these is the best out of the 4?
Thanks
Which hotel to go for?
Like everything else, it depends.
Rio and Palms are both quite nice (Rio probably a bit more so), especially for the price, but are located off of the strip. Depending on what you will be doing that could mean a lot of cab fare which would negate any cost savings from being off-strip.
Bally%26#39;s is decent and has a good, central location on the strip. I would say it is superior to Luxor in both location (Luxor is further off-centre) and quality. Luxor, however, would likely be the least expensive of the 4 hotels you are considering.

The prices I am getting are all between the $760 and $800. We would like to be central - that is able to walk to other hotels on the strip without the need to take cabs.
If you want to walk to other strip hotels toss out Rio and Palms right away.
If you want central from those that are left you only have one choice, Balllys.
I like the Rio and since it has free easy to use shuttles to the strip it is nice. Next I would go to Ballys or Luxor. I wouldn%26#39;t do Palms unless you are 20-30 years old. They also don%26#39;t have a shuttle to the strip. Good Luck.
The prices are going to be high because you%26#39;re looking at a weekend and St. Patrick%26#39;s Day to boot. I%26#39;d try PH, Bill%26#39;s and IP for better rates. Bally%26#39;s is not a bad choice though, you can%26#39;t beat the location.
Hi
I have not stayed at any you have listed but I have been to all of them. My choice would be the Rio, off strip but a nice place.

Rio smokes the others for nice rooms, great restaurants. 1 km off strip with free and frequent shuttles. Room is high quality, size is generous, mini-refrig is convenient, wall of windows for views. That would be my choice
Luxor is very cool, I liked my stay there, and it is connected to Mandalay Bay and other nice places to dine in, and tour
Ballys is central, connected to Paris, older but well kept...good for location...eat at Paris and planet Hollywood buffets
Palms is offstrip without many shuttles, rooms are not large, but nice enough, casino decor mediocre. All the trendiness of Palms is behind the scenes, pretty small and plain for the ordinary tourist
I thought cabs were cheap, get one to where you want to go then walk from there and then get one back at the end of the night.
Lots of the hotel interlink.
Vegas is very hard on the feet so be prepared that walking the strip is not as easy as it may seem.
Out of the 4 I would defo stay at Ballys. the rooms are nice, and you can%26#39;t beat the location.
