what to do list for 2 21 + male's first time in lv

hello all,

we will be in lv dec 16-20...

? my 2 son%26#39;s are tagging along with the dw and myself..in dec.

we are staying @ mgm..should they stay at the same place or is their a better choice for the younger folks..i was going to put them across the street @ the trop.. the dw say%26#39;s no get them a room where were staying...

and i also thought about the palms.any other place%26#39;s on the stip geard more towards the youngin%26#39;s

any tips for these 2 cat%26#39;s on where to go or what might be a good time or hang out for 2 single dude%26#39;s just lookin to have fun in lv..it%26#39;s one of my son%26#39;s first time%26#39;s out there..

the younger one was 2 day%26#39;s short of his 21st b day last year so he was limited on where to go ...he had a great time ..

The MGM is so big, I think you can all stay in the same place. Just stay in rooms far from each other. This can be requested at check-in.

I think the MGM has good choices in regards to Clubs, bars etc.

But, the younger crowd usually stays at the following:

The Palms

The Hard Rock

TI

Hooters

NY NY is a good choice and is right across the street, with access by a walkway from MGM.

I would not put them at the Tropicana, not to0 hot, ok, but they might be mad at you because your hotel will be much nicer.

I agree...the MGM is so large that you will probably need to arrange times and places to meet or might otherwise never run into each other! LOL

Yeah Trip... I wouldn%26#39;t suggest the Trop for your boys unless the rate is good and that%26#39;s what%26#39;s in you budget. I%26#39;ve stayed there and it%26#39;s not bad, but I wouldn%26#39;t suggest it for them if they plan to ';hook up'; or be around their peers. I would suggest some place like TI or even Hooters for them. The crowds there are typically younger and they%26#39;ll feel more ';at home'; in either of those places. I%26#39;m no MGM fan, but putting that aside, tell mom to loosen those apron strings a bit. Think back to when you were 21, would you want to stay in the same hotel as your parents in Vegas? What if they party too much and she sees one or both of them staggering through the casino? lol or worse!?

As far as fun goes.... they can find all of that on the net in minutes.

i thought about hooters also is hard rock a good place for the young dude%26#39;s.. as far as hooking up that%26#39;s a scary thought...

I think the MGM is a perfect place for them. You can meet up with them for breakfast ...(they may not have been to bed yet), say your hello%26#39;s, (hand them a few bucks)...then let them be on their way.

There are lots of that age group at MGM and you%26#39;re in close proximity to other places that they may like to venture.

Trip... Hard Rock is cool, but it%26#39;s biggest bonus is the pool which will not be open in Dec. In fact, since you%26#39;re there midweek in Dec. the whole town will be a bit slow in relative terms and HRH is a bit removed from the action. I was going to suggest the Palms, but the same situation applies. Midweek in Dec. the Palms will mostley be locals playing video poker and not full of hotties like it is in summer or on weekends so a location more on the Strip is a better option IMO.

As for all the mothers on this forum telling you MGM for your boys I can%26#39;t disagree more unless that%26#39;s what all of you agree on. I can%26#39;t help but think you picked a different hotel for them originally for a reason. True? Besides, they can meet you anytime from anywhere on the Strip within 30 mins. Why do they HAVE to be in the same hotel?

hey doc, my thoughts exactly, i thought the cheapest place on the srtip would do, but im trying to bring them up right .. no dumps..lol

You might consider Planet Hollywood if you get a good deal. The hotel and the rooms are nice and since it will be December the pool does not matter. I would just get them a room and give them money and let them loose. A different hotel is a good idea to keep the wife from checking up on them too much. Good luck!
