Mirage Trip report

Cab from airport to Mirage was $14 for 1 passenger and same price with 2 passengers. I%26#39;d recommend NOT taking the shuttle since I waited 20 minutes for it to leave, and then it stopped at a few other hotels first.

Great hotel: rooms were OK (nothing special). Pool was great, not only the design, but nice %26#39;cold%26#39; water also which is important on a hot day.

At check in, they gave us each 2 keys and they never asked how many guests, so I agree with a previous post that said they don%26#39;t really care if there is an additional adult staying in the room. I%26#39;m convinced their policy is ';don%26#39;t ask, don%26#39;t tell, just spend a lot of money on food, drinks, gambling';.... so we did. They were also happy to give us an additional (5th) key later with no questions. They ask for 1 key per group going to the pool, and ask for a key to get on the elevator at night.

Buffet was very good. Went to California Pizza Kitchen (inside hotel); one of the 3 pizza%26#39;s took a long time to arrive, so the manager came over to say we would not be charged for it. That was nice, so I feel I should thank them here.

TAO was great. Rain was terrible! As inconvenient as it can be to wait in a long line and/or not get into a good club, I almost appreciate the shenanigans because once you do get in, the place is full of beautiful woman with a low percentage of men. That was not the case with Rain, plenty of drama to get in only to find the place full of men and no ';eye candy'; inside. Also, after plenty of $8 to $10 drinks, we all agreed that there must be virtually no alcohol in them.

Was looking forward to going to Tangerine on Wednesday night, but it was closed.

We%26#39;ve heard about the shuttles, and do try to info people that you might expect a wait unless yours is the first stop. Especially if you%26#39;re going TO the airport and can%26#39;t be late. We don%26#39;t want anyone missing their plane!

Glad you liked the hotel, pool, buffet, Tao, and received the free pizza when the one was late.

Thanks for the info on the keys for pool and elevator. I%26#39;m sure that will help anyone with those questions.

Sorry about Rain, but the rest of the trip sounds like you had a very good time!

I was at Mirage last week and concur with your assessment of rooms, pool, and buffet.

no mention of the Revolution go go girls???, that was my highlight

Concur on the don%26#39;t ask system, I think people make too big a deal about it.
