Electrical items from UK

Further to my previous post about bringing a hairdryer from the UK, I have been thinking about all the other electrical things I usually travel with. iPod charger, mobile phone charger, camera battery charger etc. Will I be able to use any of these in the US?

Electrical items from UK

Last year I charged my Video, digital cam, phone etc without too much worry. Maybe takes a bit longer than at home, that%26#39;s all.

Wife used straighteners but without a lot of success. Has bought some new multi voltage GHD%26#39;s for our next trip. Muddled through with her hairdryer too. Just a bit cooler than norm.

Same here our phones and camera were fine we charged them overngiht so tbh I didn%26#39;t notice if they took any longer

As for the travel kettle I took............... well i waited...........waited some more...........and some more and then eventually after I was so parched I was starting to shrivel up it boiled...lesson learnt I have a new dual voltage one for next year

Don%26#39;t most hotel rooms supply hairdryers? we had one in caesars last year

On our previous trips our daughter has had bad hair days due to the fact her ghd straightner wouldnt work, so on our trip in 2005 I bought her some gas straightners out there... what a waste of money those were.. so earlier this year she invested in some new multi voltage GHD%26#39;s and they worked brilliantly in July...

Most hotels have hairdryers.

I did take our electric mosi repellent machines - ones I use in Crete and they dont work either... shame about the previous posters kettle tho... in the Luxor they dont have coffee machines in the rooms... but in other resorts they tend to and thats ok if you like coffee but if you dont.. and I dont - big problems because altho I boil water in the coffee maker jug to make a herbal tea.. you can always taste alittle coffee,,yuk

Hope you have a fabulous trip...

If you go to Walmart in Vegas you%26#39;ll be able to pick up a set of hair straighteners for as little as $20.

Check your phone charger, etc as most are now dual or variable voltage. Most hotels have hairdryers so no need to take one. I have a dual voltage travel kettle and my straighteners take longer to heat up and don%26#39;t get quite as hot, but work fine for me.
