Husband and I are 35 and 43 and thinking about a trip to Vegas for our anniversary in October. We are looking in the $200/night range. We also want to stay on the strip. Suggestions?

Those are weekend nights, you might get a decent rate for the Thurs night, but Friday and Sat nights rate can double or even triple sometimes. Sun-Thurs night stays are less expensive plus you are going during convention season.

2 out of 3 of your dates are weekends, so, hard to find a $200 room for weekends.
Montecarlo, Flamingo and maybe Paris will be under $250/night average (but over $200)
Go to Vegas.com and search for hotels for your dates, find few that are within your price range.
I think the best you can do on the strip is Flamingo
Your other option is, Orleans and IP
I can get NYNY for an average daily rate of $233 (basic room)- $311(spa suite). Thoughts on New York, New York? I haven%26#39;t been to Vegas in years, is this a good location? I read the reviews and they look very good.
we were there 2 years ago for our 20th anniversary. We had a basic room at NYNY. Nothing special and kind of thin walls. Since we were there during the week we paid like 79 a night, which was fine. What we did was the 2 days before we stayed at Mandalay Bay in the honeymoon suite. We should have done it the other way, but we got a really cheap price on MB,too, so that is the way it worked out. We really liked the food court at NYNY and gambling was good there too.Good luck
Oh Yeah, If you can get the spa suite for 311, I say go for it. How romantic.We had spa in MB and I brought some candles along .

Just plugged in your dates. Total for 3 nights at MGM $688. Thurs. is only $69!! But Friday and Saturday are way up there in price. As already mentioned, it will be hard to find a nicer hotel on the strip in your price range. Oh the above rate includes the tax.
