2 Couples - No Kids Weekend

DH and I are meeting up with college friends in Vegas. Both couples are leaving the kids at home. I booked AquaKnox, Olives, and Nobu for dinners. What do you think? Will these be fun?

We did not book any shows this trip. I think I%26#39;m Cirq%26#39;d Out. Any suggestions for nightlife for the young 40%26#39;s crowd? I appreciate any help. Thanks.

I would skip Nobu big time, your others chices are fine, you might want to try Buzios over at the Rio.

I rate Nobu extremely highly, but purely as a very serious dining experience. I wouldn%26#39;t say it was a ';fun'; restaurant.

I would not say any of these restaurants are ';fun'; but then maybe that%26#39;s not what you exactly meant? They are all, like Blagger said about Nobu, ';serious dining experiences.:

Of the three restaurants you%26#39;ve listed, I%26#39;d say that only Olives would fit the fun moniker, at that not sure how fun Olives is unless you make your own fun together by just talking, telling stories, jokes, etc.

Wow. I guess fun means different things to different people. NOBU is the only ';must do'; I have for the weekend. It is my favorite restaurant. I think the food is unique and amazing, the people watching is great, and the atmosphere is not at all the typical serious dining experience.

I was concerned that maybe Olives would be too serious dining and booked Mix as a back up. Would Mix be a better choice for us?

I%26#39;ve eaten at both Mix and Olives, both have good food and great views. I%26#39;m not sure what you mean by ';serious'; dining experience but if you mean what I think you do, Mix would be the more serious of the two. Olives is more casual, Mix leans more towards the ';French'; dining experience. As a foodie I like both but found Olives to be more fun. The views at Mix, though, are fantastic, at least stop there for a drink at the lounge.

Aquaknox was yummy..and some of the best service we have ever had..I have been there twice. Slotto

Thanks JackandSally. I think I may have the wrong impression about Mix. I dont know why, but I thought it was more bar/club than dining. Is it a fancy french restaurant?
