my tr 9/13-9/18..

AIRLINE--flew southwest and love it for the most part. the only things i don%26#39;t like are the people that ';suddenly'; need to preboard because they have %26#39;c'; tickets... and the people that sit every other seat so nobody sits with them... thats getting old.

AIRPORT--no smoking, and no problems with anything. quick in and out of security.

RENTAL--their new facility is nice and conveniently located. i%26#39;m an emerald aisle member and was upgraded to executive. great car, great price, no waiting, no problems returning.

GAMBLING--this is what i mostly do. i am a diamond member of harrahs and for the most part exclusively play slots only at their properties. hit a few good ones (approx $500) hit one royal flush jackpot for $1100 at rio. came home with $100 dollars less than i brought, so, a win. went to wynn, wouldn%26#39;t gamble there because husband likes bj and will not play $25/ hand, which is their bare minimum.

HOTELS--stayed at flamingo and rio. both rooms worn but fine. had safes in both rooms which is my priority. even though a diamond member, pretty much got plain rooms, didn%26#39;t get or ask for an upgrade.

CHILDREN--saw a lot. even a couple of weeks old. saw breast feeding on the rental car shuttle , and breast pumping in the women%26#39;s room at the airport. (there is nothing wrong with that, but dang...i also have a 3 month old (which is a flamingo baby) but i will not bring to lv.

BUFFETS--breakfast i ate at paris, rio, harrahs... i really enjoyed all of them. dinner--buffets at ballys, rio, harrahs. would NOT recommend the ballys...just plain yucky. (obviously i am a big buffet person and enjoy it immensely, so don%26#39;t laugh at me) lol.

DIAMOND LOUNGES-- went to rio, harrahs, and flamingo. favorite waitstaff at harrahs. same food everyday at harrahs, though. best food of the ones i went to was flamingo.

SHOWS--only saw spamalot. expected to laugh a lot more, but still pretty good. the main dude from seinfeld wasn%26#39;t there that night,

so maybe that ruined it.

Nice wins at gambling! Congrats.

Glad you enjoyed the buffets. Loved Paris, and used to like the Seafood Buffet at Rio, but haven%26#39;t tried that one since 2004.

Too bad Hurley wasn%26#39;t doing Spamalot. He was excellent when we saw him!

Nice trip report Melissa. Looks like you had fun. My friend and I are going in Oct. I am also a diamond member and have VIP passes for Rio. Where is the diamond lounge at Rio? Nice hit on the royal.

jacktarlover---the diamond lounge in the rio is located in the

high limit slot area. go through there to the back, take elevator

to second floor, and there ya go...

Hi, Melissa! Congrats on the wins....coming back only down $100 IS a win, you bet!! I just became Diamond on my past trip and did NOT make the Diamond lounge(s) in Harrah%26#39;s or Flamingo. I will be sure and check them out next month! (I liked the ones at Caesars and at Paris LV.) Sounds like a fun trip, and thanks for the great TR!
