From airport to Downtown

I will be dropping a rental at Avis/airport and need to get back to Golden Nugget as fast and cheap as I can. Any suggestions?

From airport to Downtown

you need to prioritize - cheap v quick

in order of fastest/most expensive

limo

taxi

shuttle

bus

bus may take as long as shuittle - just depends on # of patrons, timing, etc

seems odd to have to do this, no closer Avis location?

From airport to Downtown

a thought - maybe the GN will send the hotel limo for you, depending on your level of play. I%26#39;m guessing if you gambled at that level you wouldn%26#39;t be asking this Q - but you never know.

Thanks....I got a great internet rate on the car....however it was airport pick up and drop off. I am leaning to the shuttle.....do you know approx. cost?

$6 to $10 for the shuttle. $20 to $25 for a cab.

The shuttle is definately more ecomonical. However, keep in mind that the shuttle will not leave the airport with a half load. It will simply sit and wait until most every seat is full before it leaves. If it happens to be a low volume day, you may sit and wait at the airport for as much as an hour before leaving.

Also, when you ask them when the next shuttle is leaving, their response will be ';shortly'; or ';in just a few minutes';. That means nothing. The driver decides when to go and he won%26#39;t leave without a full load. Take a look at the bus and see how many people are on it (making sure it%26#39;s a Dowtown / North Strip bus) . If it%26#39;s nearly full, go buy a ticket since your wait will be only a couple minutes. If there are only a couple people waiting, assume it will be another 30+ minutes at least.

If you are really in a hurry, pay the 20 bucks for a cab. Otherwise, take the shuttle and plan on a little wait (unless you get lucky in your timing).

Bus 108 from the airport will cost you 1.25 and take about 45 minutes to an hour depending on the time of day. It drops you off very near the Gold Nugget downtown

will bus 108 drop us off at the stratosphere from the airport?

If you will be by yourself, the shuttle is not a bad option as long as you are one of the last to get on. If you are one of the first, it will a be long wait. If there is someone traveling with you, then a taxi is a pretty good option. The bus will be a cheap option, but it could be a long and arduous trip.

Yes the 108 bus also stops very near the Strat. Its about 40 minutes give or take a few from the airport to that stop.

reh2775...............

Do you know how close to the El Cortez the CAT 108 stops? I looked at the route but still am not sure. Or would the 109 get closer? Thanks for your help.
