Have reservations at Hampton Inn on S Grand Canyon Dr. in October. Not familiar with the area. Is it safe? Can%26#39;t find info on travelers reviews or rating.

If this is in West Sumerlin, I%26#39;d say you are ok. That%26#39;s a really nice are that has neighborhoods with very nice homes,

It%26#39;s a nice, safe area but it%26#39;s mainly residential.
As mentioned above its a great area to live, but to be a tourist, if that is your goal, not so much. You%26#39;ll be a long way from where a typical Vegas tourist wants to be. The only reason id suggest a tourist stay there is if its close to friends that live there or something like that.
Yes, you%26#39;re away from the Strip where everybody else goes, but it%26#39;s a very nice area! Great restaurants and shopping. Quite a few of the nice chain restaurants that are on the Strip are also in that area. You%26#39;re also close to the new Red Rock Casino.
It is west of I-215 around Flamingo ave. Only about 15 minutes drive to the Strip straight down from Flamingo. You will be passing by the Palms, Gold Coast %26amp; the Rio before getting to Caesars etc on the Strip.
All of Summerlin area in general are nice.
And if you are flying out of Vegas, then I-215 is right by you to take straight to airport (about 15 minutes), bypassing all the congestion around the Strip %26amp; Paradise.
