Can anyone tell me if its best to visit the canyon Thurs/Friday rather than a Sat/Sun.I am thinking of the helicopter/river trip. Thanks
grand canyon sight seeingIf your trip involves a river trip, it isn%26#39;t going to Grand Canyon National Park, but rather to an area called Grand Canyon West on the Hualapai Indian Reservation. Don%26#39;t expect to see the scenery you have seen in pictures and video, but it will be scenic, just not even close to the spectacular beauty of GCNP South Rim. Take a heli and ground tour to the real canyon at GCNP South Rim.
grand canyon sight seeingWhats ort of price can you expect to pay in Vegas for this. I%26#39;ve been scanning online and can get booked onto a helicopter with a landing for about $270 per head.
There are four of us going so should I wait and try to barter in person or take the online price?
It is more the time of year, rather than day of the week that really determines the crowds at the Canyon. Autumn starts moving into quieter times. Weekends are probably a bit more crowded.
But it sounds like you are considering a helicopter trip. Most of them give you very little time at the Canyon, so it almost does not matter when you go. I am a fan of driving there and spending the night. You will have a much deeper experience if you spend a decent amount of time, rather than buzzing over the western section of it in a copter.
Deeka...if you found a helicopter landing for 270, book it...you will not find a price cheaper than that in Las Vegas.
I will warn you though, make sure that the price is all inclusive (no added fees at the airport, or taxes), and make sure your flying out of Las Vegas, not Boulder City.
Thanks - I%26#39;ll email teh company I was looking at to ensure I%26#39;ll not get any additional charges on the day before I book.
