Whats the scoop on the Mandalay Bay?

I have a room on hold do to the fact that I have a function at the hotel.

I have asked for reports on other hotels, but got VERY mixed reviews on every hotel I have looked at. I Guess this time I am hopping to just hear oppinions on the best way to enjoy the place.

Thanks.

Whats the scoop on the Mandalay Bay?

Sorry, I read your post twice, and have no clue, what your question is.

Are you concern about the rooms, the srvice, the casino, the food, the pool, or .......?

Whats the scoop on the Mandalay Bay?

My only concern would be it%26#39;s not center strip for other casino access, however your convention is there. Nice hotel if you are getting it at a good rate...

I love Mandalay Bay. The rooms were recently renovated and look very nice. If you are lucky enough to get a stripview room you will have an amazing view. The Buffet is good and affordable and has an open feel unlike many of the other buffets which feel like dungeons or cafeterias to me. There are several topnotch restaurants there if you want to splash out including Mix and Aureole. If you like Martinis Red Square makes has some great ones. Take advantage of the free tram that connects to Luxor and Excalibur. There are a lot of entertainment options there including The House of Blues, Momma Mia, The Mandalay Beach, and a nice open casino for gambling.

Thats just it, I am not concerned about anything. I just wanted to get tips on the must do/see stuff. Such as..... we realy liked this or that because..... or if you do this or that, don%26#39;t for get to......

I have lost intrest in the personal fealings about the comfort of the beds and the way the doors slam in a given hotel. I want to know how to make a stay at the MB, Oct. 31 / Nov 4, the best it can be.

We are a couple with no kids and want to dress sexy, eat drink and have fun. I will play craps some but mostly we like golf and people watching.

I hope is a better post.

Thank you so much jack. that was a great post. I will be looking at all of the things you talked about. I have not seen much, if any info about halloween parties. I guess the hotels all waite to put out info on things like that. I am not sure what we are looking for but I thought some special events might be going on.

We are not a vagooos types, other wise we like to dance and pary.

Well then that%26#39;s a great hotel for the activities you are describing.

I stayed at MB two years ago for a conference and will be back there in early Nov. It%26#39;s a great hotel and rooms/baths are excellent.

Dining at MB is good also, the buffet is very good and I real like the House of Blues as well.

Things to definately not miss at MB are the pool. They have an awesome wave pool that is great fun. There is also a lazy river and a couple of hot tubs outside. There is a little cafe/bar poolside with good burgers and other sandwiches. They have excellent margaritas out there also, but there $10 for a 8oz glass or so.

They have a couple of lounges in and around the casino floor that are entertaining later in the evenings as well.

Otherwise I find myself venturing out on the strip for the most part. I usually grab the tram to Excalibur and from their I either walk or if I%26#39;m heading down the strip a ways I%26#39;ll go through MGM and get on the monorail.

Thanks Tom, great post..... We are sooooo stoked about this trip.

Its is a big step up for us. In the past it has been Flamingo and Stratosphere.

Flamingo was great for us.

The Stratoshere almost put us off of the whole idea of going back to Vegas.

This wil be a Jeffersons thing for us.... ';mooooove%26#39;n on up';
