Best morning/afternoon getaway in a convertable from Vegas

Hi there going to vegas next week and looking for a nice drive within 90 minutes maybe to do some shopping / eating / gambling! Any ideas we will have a convertable so the drive will be great!

Mesquite is northeast of Vegas, Red Rock is to the west, and Hoover Dam to the east and all within 90 minutes. We sometimes just drive around with no particular destination in mind....just meander.

You can go from one end of Strip all the way to Downtown and drive back the other way to the South end again. Daytime drive and nighttime drive will be different. It probably takes about an hour each trip and you can soak in all the sights/sound/lights and people.

Being in a convertible in early October will be quite pleasant.

Try Laughlin about 8 casinos and on the Colorado River. Still warm there it was 110 last weekend.

rimih, we bought our first convertible last year and Vegas was on our must do soon list. The day we picked it up I had a bag packed and we were off. We had been to Vegas many times before but driving the strip with the top down is beautiful! It was a whole new experience. We also went to Red Rock and that was also a beautiful drive. Were there Oct of ast year, perfect time of the year to be topless. Have a great time!!!

Laughlin, you have shopping, gambling and eating among other things. Watch that speedometer you can lose track and find yourself going 100MPH.

A drive through Red Rock Canyon would be great. My better half and I did that a couple years ago in a convertible and loved it. If you%26#39;re into hiking, there are some very nice trails also of varying distances.
