Kokomo's - overdressed??

We have booked a meal at Kokomos for my birthday next week. I would like to dress up and hubby wants to wear his suit. Will we feel overdressed? We don%26#39;t dress up that often - but do enjoy it for special evening out. The dress code says %26#39;Casual%26#39; hope that doesn%26#39;t mean shorts - we don%26#39;t want of feel out of place - especially on my birthday. Has anyone who has been recently advise?

Thanks in advance.

Kokomo's - overdressed??

You%26#39;ll be fine. They%26#39;ll almost certainly be others there as smart if not smarter than you guys and others less so. Wear what YOU feel comfortable in is the golden rule.

Kokomo's - overdressed??

i am always surprised that people want us to tell them how they will ';feel'; - no one but you knows!

of course my answer is - WHY CARE what others are wearing? If you want to dress up, do so. Know that others might very well be casual - shorts included, since Koko%26#39;s is a casual restaurant. Knowing this - does that affect how you ';feel';? I%26#39;m guessing it does since you even bothered to post the Q - indicating this is a major concern for you.

Almost all restaurants will have a variety of dress on the clientle.

Go, dress appropriately for the venue and have fun.

Happy birthday

You%26#39;ll look great....Kokomo%26#39;s is one of my favorite Vegas Restaurants. You%26#39;ll probably get a better table because you made the effort to look nice!

Hi Guys

Yes, we will of course wear what we feel comfortable in. Just wondered how %26#39;casual%26#39; the dress code was from people who had been before.

Bridgefan - maybe you misunderstood the meaning of my question from your response. %26#39;Go, dress appropriately for the venue and have fun.%26#39; I was trying to find out the appropriate dress code for the venue!!!! Maybe I just didn%26#39;t phrase the question very well. LOL

Anyway thanks for all your replies.

I don%26#39;t think it%26#39;s possible to be overdressed at any restaurant that charges $20 or more for an entree. Rather than feeling out of place, everybody else will look at you and wonder if *they* should have dressed up a little more.

vegas chick- my wife and i have been to kokomos twice this year and when we go out to these nice restaurants we always dress up. you will see others really dressed up and others not. i love seeing my wife dressed up to the 10s. it makes for a much better night. vegas is a place that you can dress up any way you want and you will fit in. you can wear things that you normally dont wear at home. be a little adventurous. you only go around once in life. by the way when you make your reservation ask for a table by the waterfall. its more romantic. have a good time

Honest- you will see anything and everything at most of the restaurants- shorts, torn jeans, business casual, formal wear, even wedding gowns. Some people like to dress up a bit at night while other don%26#39;t bother. You will not feel out of place if you dress up!

I eat at Kokomo%26#39;s all the time, you will be fine with what you want to wear, While Kokomos is not a low end restaurant and up there with some of the best one can wear dress shorts, nice shirt and dress sandals to dine in along with people sitting at the next table dressed to the hilt. If you like prime rib try theres. Enjoy

';Dress shorts'; maybe, like the British army wears in the hot climates. ';Dress sandals';- no -sandals are as casual as as footwear can get.
